About Us
Hi! My name is Amy Lewis. I am an artist and have taught art for the past 20 years. In 2001, I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in K-12 art education from East Tennessee State University. I am excited to be offering art experiences to the Asheville community.
I look forward to helping you get in touch with your artistic side this summer!

The Island Life

In this camp, you will be creating artwork with watercolors, oil pastels, markers, colored pencils, sand, and sun. You don’t want to miss out on creating sun prints, watercolor animal paintings, and beach dioramas. We will look at famous artists and how they loved island life and represented that in their artwork.
Beginning Sewing 1

In this class, you will learn how to use a sewing machine, do hand stitching, sew on a button, and do basic embroidery. You will make a set of magic coasters, a burrito pillowcase, a puppy pillow, and a tote bag. Sewing machines, thread, needles, and pins are supplied.
Bookmaking Workshop

In this workshop, you will deconstruct a book to make a beautiful art journal. You will learn how to recreate an art journal from a recycled book, sew the signatures into a book, and learn techniques in collage.
